Rotary Kiln

Rotary Kiln is one of the most important equipment among all the mining machineries. It is composed of cylinder, gears, supporting device, sealing for kiln tail, sealing for kiln head and other parts.

Kiln cylinder is a heated revolving part which is welding by high quality carbon steel plate. Cylinder is supported on the supporting device by tyres. And there is machanical or hydraulic pressure catch-wheel on one or several gears in order to control the turning of cylinder. By the gear rings in the middle of cylinder, gears drive the Cylinder to rotating with the speed under technical design requirement. Because of the need of installation or maintenance, the big size rotary kiln has auxiliary gears, which make cylinder rotates at low speed. In order to prevent cold air comes into cylinder and the leaking of gas and dust, the reliable kiln tail and head sealing equipment are installed on the feeding and discharging end.

Rotary Kiln is thermal equipment which takes heating treatment to lump, bulk and slurry materials. It can be widely used in different industries such as cement & construction, non-ferrous metals, ferrous metals, refractory materials, industrial chemicals, paper making and etc.

5. Sealing Device variety types are available in accordance to different design of rotary kiln; Such as air cylinder edge sealing, spring edge sealing, graphite block sealing and etc.

Working Principle

The materials are fed into rotary kiln by the feeding slide of gas chamber of kiln tail. Due to the incline and slowly rotating of the cylinder, the materials are circumferentially rolling and move toward to the heating kiln head. The materials will go through the procedures such as pre-heating, decomposition and sintering, and then discharge to Cooler from the bottom of kiln head device.
As the fuel, gas or pulverized coal could be sprayed into kiln by the burner for combustion. The heat can be passed to the materials by different methods such as emission of flame, convection of hot gas, conduction of refractory bricks and kiln coating. All the heating energy heat the material and enable them to be calcined to finished product.
