The daily output of high grade active lime is around 50-1500t and the product quality meets international standard. Lime is mainly used for small, medium and large-scale cement plants.
zk lime production line consists of raw material transfer system, limestone calcination system, smoke treatment system, finished product delivery system, burning system and so on. Main machines for lime production line include belt conveyor, vertical preheater, rotary kiln, air dust collector, raw coal grinder, and so on. DCS central control system is employed to make concentrated operation management.
The process of lime plant
1. Raw Material Delivery
The 20-40mm limestone on the stock ground is sent to storage silo by belt conveyor with large inclination. In the storage silo, qualified limestone whose size is bigger than 10mm will be sent to the gravel silo, while limestone whose size smaller than 10mm will be conveyed to the powder silo.
2. Limestone Calcination
The limestone calcining system is mainly made up of vertical preheater, rotary kiln and vertical cooler whose heat consumption of 5.75GJ/t. In the preheater limestone is heated by high-temperature air to 600-800°C, at which temperature limestone can be partly decomposed. This will increase the work efficiency of rotary kiln and reduce the cost. Then the limestone will be sent into the rotary kiln, where it will undergo high-temperature calcination before sent to the vertical cooler. The processed lime will be cooled down with cold air to 65°C. Air from the vertical cooler enters into the rotary kiln as the second air to take part in calcining process
3. Finished Product Conveying
The final lime will be sent to the silo as final products by bucket elevator. After screening, qualified lime whose particle size is bigger than 5mm will be sent to storage for active lime, while powder lime whose size is smaller than 5mm will be sent to storage bin for powder.
4. Gas Treatment
High-temperature gas from rotary kiln will do heat exchange with limestone inside the preheater, and after that, the temperature of the gas will reduce to lower than 280°C. Then the gas will be cooled down by multi-tube ceramic cooler below 200°C. Finally, they enter into the bag filer before discharged into the air.
