Application
Ball mill is widely used in cement, mineral, refractory material industry etc. It can grind/mill the material like limestone, slag, cement, mineral ore, coal etc to fine size.
Main parts
Ball mill includes feeding part, rotary part, discharge part, drive system (gearbox, motor, etc) support device, lubricant system.
Working Principle
Ball mill is a horizontal cylindrical rotary device, outer gear, the material goes through feeding part into first compartment, there are step linings or corrugated linings, as well as grinding media(balls) with different sizes. The centrifugal force caused by cylinder rotation bring the balls to certain height and fall down to smash and grind material. After coarse grinding in first compartment, the fine material pass through diaphragm to second compartment, there are flat linings and grinding media, which provide further grinding. Finished material discharged through grate.
